EMF TESTING

Household Equipment sold in the EU requires EMF testing, update it free at D.L.S.*

EMF requirements have been added for household appliances sold in the European Union (EU). You may have missed the new requirement, which was published in February 2004 "requiring" limits on EMF exposure for HHA products. These limits are required on all products sold after February 1, 2006.

What does this mean to you?
If you are a manufacturer or selling a product under the European Low Voltage Directive using EN 60335-1; 2002, you must comply with the limits by February 1, 2006. D.L.S. can test your products and help you meet the requirements.

Also it is expected that other products could need these requirements down the road.

* This free update assumes it was tested at D.L.S. previously, that the equipment passes and does not exceed the standard test time.

EMF testing required
The Official Journal of the Low Voltage Directive calls out EN 50366:2003 "Household and similar appliances - Electromagnetic Fields - Methods for evaluation and measurement".

EN50366:2003 provides test methods by which the magnetic field emissions from products can be compared to those restrictions and levels over the frequency range of 10Hz to 400kHz.

Each type of appliance is called out as to how it is tested and levels required to comply.

D.L.S. will test your product and issue you a report when you pass this test.
