EMF/Magnetic Shield Monitor Enclosure
  
     
If you or someone you know has characters on the screen of a video monitor moving back & forth horizontally, I believe you will be interested in learning about the success we've had in solving a similar problem. The customer's VGA monitor was in a room located just above the power distribution center for their building. The magnetic flux from the power line, entering into the horizontal yoke of the monitor, caused a swimming (or horizontal movement) of the vertical lines and characters on the screen. As a result, the employees found it difficult to do their work. At their request, we designed a special shielded enclosure (patent pending) containing magnetic shielding material that reduced the effect such that it was difficult to distinguish.

  We are now making these unique enclosures available to others experiencing similar problems. The shielded enclosure is constructed of oak containing the shielding material and features a handy book shelf on the top. The resultant shield blends exceptionally well into the office decor looking like a fine piece of furniture.  
 
 

The enclosure has the following characteristics:

  
  1. It reduces external magnetic fields to levels difficult to distinguish. (approximately 12 dB @ 60 Hz)

  2. The enclosure is made of fine, oak (real) wood veneer forming a sandwich with the special magnetic shielding material. The finish is natural oak. The resultant look compliments the most prestigious home or office décor.

  3. There is a built in book shelf above the enclosure to allow convenient access to frequently used manuals. The shelf also encourages people not to place papers and manuals on top of the monitor that might block the air vents of the monitor.

  4. The enclosure contains air vents and a cable pass through, allowing cables to exit from the back. The openings are finished with special inserts to give a clean finished look while protecting the cables from abrasion.

  5. The inside dimensions of the enclosures are:
    Model 14M: 16" wide X 15" high X 17.5" deep. (was $990, NOW ONLY $440)
    Model 19-20M: 21" wide X 20" high X 22.75" deep. (was $1140, NOW ONLY $570)

  6. The cable pass through has an inside dimension of 1.5".
